I can't begin to imagine how I'd feel if I was a train driver and some mindless moron ran onto the track in front of me like that, when there was clearly nothing I could do about it...

da bekommt man ja glatt angst .... angst das sich der zug verspätet ....

Could you imagine coming homw to your wife one day and saying, " I killed a kid and couldn't do anything about it." Imagine the grief the family of the child would have suffered, the blame, the hurt and the constant reminder that you've gotta travel those rails every d@mn day until you're 65. Trains are like moving buildings that cant stop very well. This is coming from the son of a railroader who has avoided tragedy but counselled many who have seen it. Being stupid like that ruins lives, ruins jobs, ruins familes, not only the victim but the 2 or sometimes three guys in the head of the train watching this terrible sight and not having the power to do anything but watch.....
