I can't watch videos.
All videos at bendecho are based on the Flash format. Please check your current Flash version and install an update if applicable. Alternatively, your browser or firewall may not support plug-ins (ActiveX elements). Please change the settings here and authorize bendecho. How can I upload a video?
bendecho is a compilation of the best videos from video portals; the link (URL) to the video is sufficient. You can upload videos at YouTube and then post the link (URL) here. Which video portals are permissible?

Registration

I have registered, but have not received an email with a password.
Unfortunately, this occasionally happens. Please check whether the email has been filtered into your spam folder. If so, you should explicitly mark it as "not spam". Should you not have received an email, you can simply request a new password. I entered an incorrect email address when registering.
In this case, a new registration is your only option. After a few days, registrations which have not been confirmed are deleted, and you can change to your preferred user name. I have registered, but the log-in data sent to me by email are incorrect.
In order to avoid our database being unnecessarily overloaded, unconfirmed registrations ("confirmed" meaning that the user has logged in at least once) are deleted after 96 hours. Therefore, if you registered more than 96 hours ago, you can reregister now. The other possibility is that you have requested a new password in the meantime - in that case, the password provided in the registration email is invalid. You may request a new password anytime and thus receive valid log-in data.

Log In and Profile

I have forgotten my password.
No problem! Simply request a new password. I have requested a new password, but only received an email with a link.
Requesting a new password involves two steps, i.e. you first need to confirm that you really do want a new password. In order to do so, simply click on the link in the first email, and you will be sent a second email containing the new password. Which data can I log in with?

Needless to say, you can delete your account and disappear forever anytime. If problems with us, members or other difficulties are the reason, please let us know and we will attempt to resolve the issue without delay. The points in your profile are an indicator of how active you are. You are awarded points for the following activities: Posted a new video, Video comment, Video rating, Friendship, Pinboard entry and Profile picture.

Friends

How can I add a friend or a contact?
Searching, finding, requesting a friendship and waiting for confirmation - in no time at all, you are a confirmed friendship or contact. How can I end a friendship or a contact?
You can delete unwanted friendships or contacts in your friends overview. The person concerned will not be notified - it is up to you to deliver the unpleasant news. What happens if I reject a request?
In that case, you will simply not be friends. The person concerned will not be notified of your rejection.

Messages & Notifications

My inbox/ outbox is full.
Well, you have no choice but to delete excess messages and make your communication more concise again. How can I change my notifications?
O.K., you are popular and wanted - lucky you! You can modify your notification settings anytime under settings. I cannot click on the links in my notifications!
You probably have an AOL email address and access it via the web, right? Sorry, our hands are tied in this case. Please request an explanation from AOL as to why the links in text mails do not appear as links. In the meantime, you can copy and paste the link into your browser manually.
