Some people think of sword swallowing as a magic trick. After all, as with most magic tricks, sword swallowing doesn't seem like something that should be possible. It can be a little easier to accept the idea that it's all an illusion than to believe that a person can guide a long piece of metal all the way into his stomach. If you've ever watched a sword-swallowing performance, you may have also gotten the impression that the performer is trying to gain the audience's trust, just like a magician does. He might invite members of the audience to join him on stage to inspect the swords or even to pull them from his mouth.

Japanese Ganguro Beauties
Ganguro appeared as a new fashion style in Japan in the early 1990s and to date is prevalent mostly among young women. In ganguro fashion, a deep tan is combined with hair dyed in shades of orange to blonde, or a silver grey known as "high bleached". Black ink is used as eye-liner and white concealer is used as lipstick and eyeshadow. False eyelashes, plastic facial gems, and pearl powder are often added to this. Platform shoes and brightly-coloured outfits complete the ganguro look.

Gathering the funny moments of life requires observation. Keeping the eyes and ears open to actual occurrences all around sometimes brings something so funny that it will bring joy for a lifetime. It can come from a look, a statement, a harmless accident; any number of things can bring that special thing called a laugh to the consciousness. Sometimes the person is also surprised by what comes out. One such instance involved a shoe salesman idly waiting for a customer. In walked a pretty, young teenage girl in full makeup, dressed nicely, and with a head full of hair rollers. The salesman started singing the Miss America song.
