Zu Besuch in Oberlahnstein – 1

Oberlahnstein, eine Stadt am Rhein und an der Lahn. Beginnen wir unseren Rundgang am Bahnhof. Weiter geht der Rundgang an der St. Martin Kirche vorbei an einen Brunnen, zwei Figuren, und von da aus durch die Altstadt. Von der Altstadt geht es auf eine Halbinsel. Von der Mündung der Lahn in den Rhein hat man einen schönen Blick in den Hafen, zur Burg Lahneck, nach Niederlahnstein. Homemade Wind Generator

This homemade wind generator was done with some spare parts and a wind generator mount. I just took it down yesterday. I had used 3/4 inch pipe and it wobbles in high winds. I will get a two inch pipe and see how that works. I have two more wind generators to repair. this summer a fourth wind generator is going up for the first time. By then I hope to be making 10 Kw of solar electricity every day.

Solar Pool Heater

The Solar Pool Heater happened because of a ridiculously cool summer and it was to cold to get in the water. I started the solar pool heater with garden hoses. I use a 12 volt DC pump that pushes 109 gallons per hour. I think the solar pool heater runs half of that due to the resistance of 550 foot of 1 1/4 inch hose.

Braubach, eine Stadt am Rhein, beginnen wir unseren Rundgang am Bahnhof, heute ist das Bahnhofsgebäude ein Wohnhaus. Zunächst einen Panoramablick auf Braubach, von der anderen Rheinseite aus. Mein Blick geht auch auf die 3 Schornsteine der Blei- und Silberhütte. Da wo die 3 Schornsteine sind, ist keine Fabrik, die Fabrik ist unten im Tal. Zu Besuch in Rhens – 2

Rhens, eine Stadt am Rhein, im zweiten Teil geht es los am Königsstuhl, von da aus hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf den Rhein, auf Rhens, auf die gegenüberliegende Rheinseite. Vom Königsstuhl aus geht es wieder talwärts, noch einen Blick über die Dächer von Rhens. Irgendwann komme ich am Rhein an, Schiffe beobachten. Und zum Schluss noch Züge, einen IC/EC mit der BR 101 und eine Mittelrheinbahn mit BR 460.
